How can I obtain a Customerly Token?

To obtain a Customerly token the steps are simple:

  1. Click on your profile on top right
  2. Select App Settings
  3. Under the section Integrations on the left sidebar choose Access token
  4. Click on Get an access token
What’s the difference between Users and Leads?

In Customerly we have two different way to let you recognize who you are communicating to. We call them Users and Leads.

Users

The users are people registered on your platform with a user id, email, and data. The User will be automatically recognized by Live Chat widget and you will have all the data synchronized instantly when a user login.

Leads

The leads are people that contact you through the Live Chat. Every email you collect thanks to the live chat will be a Lead.

 

What is an Attribute?

We use attributes in Customerly to you let you save important data from your customers and create custom segments based on that data.

When using an Attribute?

We do have static, unmodifiable attributes that are created and updated automatically by Customerly Live Chat Plugin like:

  • First Seen At
  • Last Activity
  • Last Page Viewed
  • Last Page Viewed At
  • OS
  • Region
  • City
  • Country
  • Timezone
  • Browser Language

In addition to those fields, you can add also your own custom data.

An attribute is made of two basic data: name and value.

The name should be without spaces and special characters.

For example, you can save the following data as a custom attribute

birthday = “28 Apr 1989”

age = 29

Now that you know how an attribute works, let’s save data from your customers via API or Live Chat integration.

 

 

How can I localize the Live Chat?

By default, Customerly Live Chat widget is localized automatically in the local language of the client browser.

The Live Chat has been translated into Spanish, French, Italian, German, Romanian, Greek & Catalan. If your language is not supported Contact us and we will find a way.
